Ad Zanity Thoughts:

Not only today creative advertising was done, but we can see even in the 1960's it was done. Creative advertising is one of the most effective strategies used today in advertising.
Sure, it'll have your kids laughing or even your own aged self but the fact is that the company has done the job in making it's company register in your mind.

1960s Advertising - Magazine Ad - Lustre Creme (USA)

1969 Magazine Advertisement
"Pink is for Girls"
Lustre Creme
USA

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

This 1960 Lustre Creme Ad shows an effective strategy widely used worldwide in most ads today. Use of beautiful women in ads for women and stunt guys to aim at other guys. For example, this ad shows that if a girl wants to be like the woman in the picture, she should use Lustre Creme's Shampoo Products as is displayed.

The quote below says, "PINK IS FOR GIRLS That's why Lustre-Creme is pink. Because it's made just for girls. If you don't believe it, just breathe in Lustre-Creme's fragrance. See its a little to delicate for anyone else but a girl! Now shampoo with Lustre-Creme and feel how truly spoilt your hair can be. So spoilt, it says "touch me" And he will!

It also aims at attracting the opposite sex as seen above. The girl who uses Lustre-Creme's shampoo will have her guy wanting to touch her hair all along.

Doritos - Mobile/On-The-Go Advertising

Doritos - Mobile/On-The-Go

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

Here is another example of mobile/on-the-go strategy advertising. It can serve as reminder advertising as people see the Rigs going by with these different adverts frequently.
This strategy used effectively, does the task that one promoter can't handle on his/her own. Not only those who look at t.v. ads of Doritos or radio adverts will be aware of the different company products but those who travel the streets will be reminded as they view these Rigs.

Red Bull - Mobile/On-The-Go Advertising

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

All companies wants their products to always be in the mind of their customers. Doing this takes much thinking of ways to effectively keep the customers at their Q's. It could be through reminder ads, e.g NIKE, creative or use of humor in ads e.g Budweiser or this Red Bull mobile/creative advertising technique.
This strategy used by Red Bull is very effective in accomplishing that task. As seen here, the 2008 Mini One (BMW) MK2 1397cc is all painted in Red Bull and also has a can of Red Bull on it's rear. Everyone will remember that Mini for sure, thus the task of keeping Red Bull's customers aware of their product has been obtained. Red Bull Gives You Wings!

Someone may even want to own one of these Red Bull Minis! LOL.

Budweiser Billboard (Humor)

Budweiser - Humor Advertising

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

1996 Billboard Advertising from Budweiser yet still contains a very effective strategy used in advertising.
This ad uses humor by the use of the frogs who sang Budweiser in syllables. Many of the customers who saw the ad laughed their guts out by this advertisement, and by this, Budweiser got the attraction from customers needed through this strategy.

Coca-Cola - Camera Can

Coca-Cola - Camera Can

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

This here is not an ad but however serves as a form of creative advertising.

"This Coca-Cola can camera was created in 1998 by Ginfax Development Ltd. of Hong Kong. Opened up, it’s a 35mm point-n-shoot camera! It has a built in flash that runs from a single AA battery. The top of the can is used to wind and rewind the film—the rewind latch is the pull top! The camera was originally packaged with a 24 exposure roll of Kodak 400 Max film."

This could also serve as advertising for Kodak as well as they join in collaboration with this product.

NIKE - Billboard Ad (Reminder)

Adzanity Thoughts:

Company's know when practicing "product diffrentiation",i.e. establishing a well known, easily differentiated, unique identity for a product or company etc., that can be done by keeping the
brand or product frequent in the minds of the market. This is where the "logo" or :brand name" came about or takes effect.

This NIKE Billboard depicts the idea of keeping the public aware of the company's existence as well as advertisement.

RBK - Reebok Ads

RBK - Reebok "Run Easy" Ads

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

The strategy used here in these Reebok Ads is efficient. Reebok seems
to be saying to the market(probably sports-persons for the most)
that without the use of Reebok shoes, one will find it hard to run
their race etc, So they provide the quality and comfort that athletes
need for their race or walking etc. Reebok stresses on the idea of a
felt deprivation or that athletes lack comfort as they run in other shoes,
so instead they should use Reebok sneakers for their races.

Put straight forward, "If you want to run easy, buy a pair of Reebok Sneakers!"

Nike - Didier Drogba V Is For Victory

Nike - Didier Drogba Victory Ad

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

This Nike Ad featuring one of the Barclays Premiere League
soccer stars, Didier Drogba from Chelsea, displays the
strategy use of lifestyle or personality.

"Drogba gets his victory from using his Nike cleats so you should to."
This could be one of the possible motives of the ad to
attract potential buyers or just the fans of Drogba who
want's to play or be like the star will buy Nike football
cleats as well. An ad with such strategy allows opportunity
for large amounts of buyers.

Canon - CAPTURE THE WORLD

Canon - CAPTURE THE WORLD

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

This Canon ad with the title "CAPTURE THE WORLD" is what an ad should be.
At first glance, one knows exactly the idea and purpose of the ad. If you
want to capture the best most quality pictures, then buy a Canon camera, as
only a Canon camera should be used for photography around the world or should
be your first choice.
"CAPTURE THE WORLD" makes connection with the breathtaking
picture of the World with a Canon camera and hits the statement bulls eye. Point
straight forward..buy a Canon camera to capture your world!

Underwater Kuwait

Inspired by Miharbi projects

Ad Zanity Thoughts:

"So beautiful, So unforgettable" could mean that one's visit to Kuwait
would be one of great value and one with great experience demanding a
return to Kuwait as it is compared with the Underwater World and it's
beauty.

The whole idea of the glass bowl and diver with the city and the fishes
was quite creative and classy, showing the connection of both Kuwait's
beauty and the Underwater World...thumbs up!

Advertising makes up part of a very important structure in business operations. It makes up what we know as the Marketing Communication Mix or Promotional Mix.

The internet even serves as a very important tool for advertising as majority of the world has access to the internet through today's advance in technology.

Ad Zanity will find various Ads and will give the author's views whether they are funny, touching, creative (as in the Ad posted here which speaks for itself), failures or just random Advertisements and as well will welcome its visitors comments and inputs on the Ads. Ad Zanity!
