Ad Zanity Thoughts:

This 1960 Lustre Creme Ad shows an effective strategy widely used worldwide in most ads today. Use of beautiful women in ads for women and stunt guys to aim at other guys. For example, this ad shows that if a girl wants to be like the woman in the picture, she should use Lustre Creme's Shampoo Products as is displayed.

The quote below says, "PINK IS FOR GIRLS That's why Lustre-Creme is pink. Because it's made just for girls. If you don't believe it, just breathe in Lustre-Creme's fragrance. See its a little to delicate for anyone else but a girl! Now shampoo with Lustre-Creme and feel how truly spoilt your hair can be. So spoilt, it says "touch me" And he will!

It also aims at attracting the opposite sex as seen above. The girl who uses Lustre-Creme's shampoo will have her guy wanting to touch her hair all along.

Ad Zanity Rating:

Effective Strategy 10/10
